In the world of education, the library plays a role as a supporting facility for the teaching and learning process and a provider of scientific collections in both text and digital formats. It also serves as a partner for academics at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The library strives to meet the needs of its users by providing optimal services and adequate infrastructure. The library also strives to encourage the academic community to get to know and become closer to the library through literacy activities, namely the Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) held annually by the public library.

This year's Library Technical Guidance Summit will run from September 22 to October 2025, with speakers from librarians and administrative staff with decades of experience at the UMM library. BIMTEK is divided into 5 sessions with a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes each session, the time division is Session I: 08.00-09.30, Session II: 09.30-11.00, Session III: 11.00-12.30, Session IV: 12.30-14.00, Session V: 14.00-15.30. The material includes service systems, e-journals, e-books, etc. This activity is expected to be able to meet the scientific needs of the Academic Community so as to facilitate the learning process.
