Nyai Ahmad Dahlan (Siti Walidah) was the wife of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, the founder of Muhammadiyah, and an important figure in the empowerment of women in Indonesia. Born in 1872, she founded Aisyiyah in 1917 to promote Islamic education for women. In addition to establishing schools and dormitories, she also opposed forced marriages and advocated for women's rights. Siti Walidah also founded Sopo Tresno in 1914 as a place for women to learn. After the death of her husband in 1923, she continued her struggle through Aisyiyah. In 1971, she was awarded the title of National Hero.
