UPT. The University of Muhammadiyah Malang Library on July 29 2024 received a visit from 22 students and librarians from the Maldives. The visit was received directly by Mr. Muhamad Salis Yuniardi, M.Psi, PhD Deputy Chancellor IV (Research, Community Service and Cooperation) and accompanied by Melati Purba Bestari S.Sos UMM Librarian and Chair of FPPTI East Java in the BAU Hall. During the visit they were invited to tour the Central Library, Campus III, and America Corner, accompanied by the Head of the UMM Library, Prof. Dr. Mr. Asep Nurjaman, MSi, and UMM Librarians. Meanwhile, the Maldives side is led by Dr. Aminath Riyaz from Bachelor of Art (Library and Information Management / BA-LIM).

Introduction and Sharing about Libraries is one of the things that is done for both parties to share knowledge and experience so that each gets something that can be applied in their library and makes it possible to collaborate in this field. This activity was carried out thanks to the collaboration between the Maldives National University Faculty of Arts (MNU-FA), the Maldives Library Association (MLA), and the East Java Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum (FPPTI). The program was conducted for 5 days by visiting several libraries, both university and public libraries, as well as several tourist attractions in East Java.
