The University of Muhammadiyah Malang Library in collaboration with FPPTI (Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum) East Java and Tyalor and Francis Group successfully held the event "Empowering Academic Research and Publishing on SDGs and the Library Support Workshop" on Wednesday 12 February 2025. This activity, which was attended by + 150 participants from various universities in East Java, aims to strengthen the role of librarians and academics in research and publications related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through seminars, workshops, and collaboration, with international experts.
The event was opened by Dr. Ahmad Juanda, Ak., M.M., CA, SE, MS.i representing the Chancellor of UMM, followed by Ian Jones (Vice President and Commercial Head-APAC Taylor Francis) as Keynote Speech with Prof.Dr. Asep Nurjaman, MS.i (Head of UMM Library). As the main speakers Muhamad Salis Yuniardi, M.Psi, PhD., MP.IPU (Vice Chancellor IV and Lecturer at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang), Shameem Nilofar Maiden (Librarian of Singapore Management University), and Lee Pui Lee (Head of Sales and Partnerships at Tyairor Francis).  In the Workshop Session as resource persons were Sumita Govindan (Singapore Management University Librarian), Ida Fajar Priyanto, Ph.D (Gadjah Mada University Lecturer), Ardy Chandra and Vidya Afriantari (Taylor&Francis). 
Apart from strengthening relationships, it is hoped that this activity will be able to provide a positive influence and increase insight for the participants so that it will have an impact on their respective agencies.
