Library Technical Guidance (BTP) 2025

Libraries are a key element in education, indirectly teaching users independent learning, in searching for and exploring reference materials to support their academic pursuits, thus facilitating their learning process. Maximizing library utilization by students will also ease the burden on educators and lecturers. The library also continuously engages and engages the academic community with planned activities and agendas, one of which is Library Technical Guidance (BTP). Library Technical Guidance is an annual activity for new students. It aims to provide information on the library's various collections, both print and digital, and how to utilize them. The facilities and systems used are also introduced during this activity so that new students (MABA) understand all existing processes, thus facilitating their achievement. The annual BTP will be held from September to October 2025, with approximately 5,000 participants from various faculties, divided into five daily sessions. The committee has prepared materials, including: rules and regulations that must be followed by library users, procedures for borrowing, renewing, returning, and searching collections through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), the use of digital collections through myUMM Library (e-books, e-journals, repositories, etc.), and sanctions imposed on users who commit violations. The existence of the Library Access Control (BTP) serves as a demonstration of the Library's active role in supporting the teaching and learning process on campus. Furthermore, it is hoped that the BTP for new students, through an initial introduction to the Library, will familiarize them with the facility and make them feel safe and comfortable using it.
