The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Library presents the Information Literacy Space as an innovation to support students’ academic activities. This facility is designed as a comfortable and conducive working space for discussions, group work, and collaboration among members of the academic community. The presence of this space serves as an alternative area for collaborative learning without disturbing the library’s main reading area.

The Head of the UMM Library stated that the provision of the Information Literacy Space represents an adaptation to the learning needs of today’s students. The library no longer functions solely as a place for reading, but also as a space for intellectual interaction and a center for the development of information literacy.

To facilitate the use of this facility, the UMM Library provides an online reservation service through Google Form, which can be accessed via the following link: https://bit.ly/ReservasiRuangLI. This system is intended to manage room usage in an orderly manner and ensure user convenience. Through this facility, the UMM Library hopes to encourage a culture of discussion, collaboration, and the development of academic ideas within the university environment.
